“A Greener Bude” is an organisation made up of lots of different environmental groups determined to make Bude a better place for visitors, and those who live here all year. It has just celebrated its first birthday !
A crowdfunded “Refill Water Station” is being unveiled tomorrow Sat Feb 16th at the Triangle, Bude set up in Bude town centre – so you can refill your water bottles for free. P.S. Image is of one of the reuseable cups that Refill Bude sent to Michael Gove, Sec of State for the Environment, which he took into a Cabinet meeting, that made national TV news bulletins.
Then next week, a “Repair Shop” is being opened on Feb 23rd at the Neet Community centre – to reduce landfill as things are repaired and can continue to be used.
Other projects on the go include:
The Bude Rubbish Action Group formed – where dedicated volunteers go litter picking to make the town and surrounding areas clear of rubbish
A “two minute beach clean” campaign with equipment to borrow on the beach for everyone to get involved.
Bude cares about all of us…
