We had a really lovely holiday, and the cottage was excellent.
Everything seemed to have been thought of, including a cool box and
wind breaker for beach days out.
We would be more than happy to stay there again. The close proximity
to Bude was so convenient, and the nearby farm shop and takeaway
were lovely.

Again
we came for a lovely holiday in Bude.
We made a mermaid out of rocks,
seaweed and sand. We managed to have a go at the rowing boats... and finished our
holiday by having a ride to Widemouth Bay to watch the sunset.
Everyday we went in
the pool and spent lots of time in the garden making potions out of grass and daisies.
Thank you for the Easter eggs.

We have just had another brilliant week at the cottage ! It is perfect for a holiday in Cornwall !
Been very busy: Eden project , Boscastle, Rocky Valley, Tintagel, rock pooling at Black Rock, St Kitts
Herbery, Daymer Bay to Rock and Padstow.
We can highly recommend a walk along Bude Canal to the Weir (good food and a great play area for children) it's quite a walk (flat) but worth it!
Pool has been used everyday as has the play field (our 3 year old loved it).
We hope to come back very soon!

Facilities were great. We had a lovely week at Bramblewood.
Swimming pool was great with kids. Would come again to Cornwall and
the cottage. Listen for the donkey, he is great.

Excellent facilities - the boys (aged between 5 and 13) loved the
pool which they went in everyday.
A delightful, well equipped cottage. A very comfortable stay.
The Camel Trail between Wadebridge and Padstow was a must. A lovely
day for all with lovely scenery.

We've had a great week at Bramblewood, enjoying local beaches, a
trip to Padstow, and a great day out at the Eden Project.
The garden and play equipment were much used and enjoyed by Ella
(2); there was barely a moment when she wasn't saying "shoes on,
outside please" !
A good time had by all, in a lovely setting.

Everything was great.
Lansdown Dairy Grocery delivered on time and exactly what we ordered
- better than Tesco!!
We would definitely return, one of the nicest self catering cottages
we have stayed in.

A second visit to Poughill and Bramblewood Cottage, and a second fab
holiday.
My 2 and a half year old and 9 month old have been in their element
with the swimming pool and play area.
A recommendation for families with children under 10 , Atlantis
Adventure Park in Bideford - there's something for everyone -
there's even a shopping village next door so something for Mum and
Dad too.

Many, many thanks for a wonderful holiday. The cottage beats
all others!
Body boarding, beaches, the pool and
games room!
For me especially it's the tranquillity of
the surroundings but more a huge respect for the gardens which are
stunning and a really beautiful respite after a full day of
activities. I'm an artist so for me it's pure paradise. I really
feel I've had a break.
Right now for the practical faults bit
..... None (and I do mean that!)
Four hour drive from the Cotswolds and
everything was done! Hot shower, immaculate interior, books,
DVD's - these are so appreciated!
We will be back for our third
visit very soon we hope.

We have really enjoyed our few days here, the cottage is like home
from home.
Very clean and equipped with everything you could wish
for.
The swimming pool is excellent - so much so, that hopefully we
would like to return later in the year

A gem of a holiday home. We've been to many self catering cottages
and this one certainly tops the list for facilities and 'extra
touches', (cookies, tea etc much appreciated) .
The beds are wonderful and I loved reading some
old childhood favourite books, thanks to the great collection here.
Our 3½ year old has grown in confidence in the water to our
amazement , enjoyed a pony ride at the wonderful picturesque Efford
Down Stables and turned the wooden tractor into an ice-cream van,
caravan and build-a bear factory during visits to the play area.
As world travellers newly discovering the UK due to having
young children we have been blown away by the magnificent sights the
area has to offer and we will be back one day with surf board and
wetsuits galore!

It's always hard to find somewhere that doesn't allow dogs, so we
were delighted to find Bramblewood via an internet search. Plenty of
good information before our stay.
What a great service to have a shop deliver
such delicious food for our arrival - Lansdown Diary is excellent
and we went back later in the week for more supplies. The Lansdown
Bakery opposite has fantastic scones too of you haven't had your
fill of cream teas.
Our 12 year old had two great days of
surf tuition with the Big Blue Surf School - definitely recommend
them. And she looked forward to garlic butter prawns at 'Life's a
Beach' afterwards. The boys went off to the Ivy Leaf golf range to
hit a few balls, then boating at the Canal Basin in Bude.
Enjoyed swimming pool on our return each
evening

What a wonderfully equipped, clean and cosy cottage ! Very thoughtful little touches: - tea, coffee, sugar, biccies on arrival - very welcome after a 4 hour journey.
Even had a loo roll so didn't have to search and unpack straight away !
The swimming pool was used daily, our 17 month old was in his element.
I am 31 weeks pregnant and found everything about the cottage comfy and cosy. The beds are lovely (and already made up on arrival - a bonus!).
A nice quiet location too, with lovely gardens and a great play area which was also used daily.
So to sum up a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay in a thoughtfully planned home from home - thank you.

We have had a lovely week again. I really enjoyed going swimming and
I can nearly swim by myself now. The Eden project was interesting
and I would recommend it. We also went to Lydford Gorge, the Falls
were beautiful. I managed to have a dip in one!Northcott Mouth Beach
is good fun for building sand castles and looking for crabs, but I
really liked the new play area, especially when the Easter Bunny
left eggs around there and in our garden.

We had a fab time and Bramblewood was lovely – it
was a real home from home.
The location is lovely too – surrounded
by countryside but so close to Bude.
Thanks for the little extras
too – like the tea /coffee tray and milk in the fridge (and not
forgetting the biscuits) H Bradley, Sept 2009

We have had a lovely relaxing week, mixing
business with pleasure (sourcing vintage treasures for our website:
www.lovemissdaisy.com).
The cottage is well-equipped & comfy & the
perfect location for sightseeing - we fitted in Boscastle,
Tintagel, Bodmin, Padstow & enjoyed the lovely beaches & town of
Bude.
Thank you for providing the
wi-fi (a major factor for us in choosing this cottage, essential for
our work).
Everyone has been so friendly & helpful in Cornwall & we
would love to stay longer! T Bradley, July 2009

Wi-Fi was very useful. Cottage very comfortable

We've had a great holiday and visited many places. At Hartland Abbey we
walked a mile to the beach. We found the cottage featured as
Barton Cottage in the recent production of "Sense and Sensibility"
on television. The Abbey itself was interesting and the visit was
worthwhile simply for the pretty walk in the sunshine to the beach.
Thank you for giving us such a
comfortable base.

Had a lovely week at this really comfortable cottage. The field

We had a great week with our friends staying in another cottage (at Trevalgas)
The
kids loved the pool and play area and husband appreciated the wi-fi
access. Local beaches superb (Sandymouth
and Northcott). Further afield near Padstow, a great family beach at
Harlyn Bay.
Rick Stein's fish and chips for tea afterwards -
superb!! |

 |
Port Issac - well worth the trip - dressed crab
straight from the sea from the fishery down by the harbour -
gorgeous!!
We also visited the Eden Project and Fowey nearby is a lovely
harbour/village. Love this area of the country and will be back!

Came here with my Mum (78) for a break. Good base and lots to see.
Beautiful site, small enough to be private, yet not isolated.
Everything provided for (unusually so, ie kitchen roll, loo rolls,
salt, pepper, dish cloth) so great when you arrived. New oven
excellent, grill and hob very responsive - liked it.
Gardens gorgeous and peaceful. Very, very
well organised booking - Katherine efficient, helpful and friendly,
and online booking form a wonderful idea. All went so smoothly it
was excellent. Thank you.

Bramblewood is very well equipped for a family. We had days out in Bude, Padstow, Eden Project, Milky Way, Tintagel and Launceston.
Cold frosty weather most of the week, cottage warm and comfortable.

We had a good stay. We found everything we needed in this home very
well equipped – especially for our twins aged 2½
years!
They loved the pool – what a luxury - usually had it to
ourselves. As for the other folk we loved beaches especially
Northcott – very quiet… Crackington Haven – good cakes in tea shop.
All in all
v nice week.

This was a return visit
to the Bude area for our family after an absence of more than ten years. It has lost
none of its earlier appeal! We have always
loved the canal and walking out to the breakwater to watch the waves
and surfers near at hand. A rowing boat on the canal and crazy golf
are an essential part of the experience.
Bramblewood has been an ideal base with all possible creature
comforts. We have appreciated breakfasting on the terrace. The
swimming pool has been a daily destination for those of us who
aren't into cliff-top running. The bright flowerbeds, numerous
butterflies and flocks of house martins circling overhead have been
a delight.
All things considered it is
hard to imagine 'a more congenial spot' for a family holiday.

A beautiful cottage within a
beautiful setting. All the family enjoyed it very much.
The Milky Way was a
real plus point. I would choose a dry day to get the most out of it.
The swimming pool was
used every day - it was fantastic. Thank you.

We had a lovely holiday and the cottage was great.
The beds were very
comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. Louise loved all
the videos - especially Sooty!
We will certainly recommend the
cottage and look forward to visiting ourselves in the future.

We have had a wonderful week, even though my 6 month old daughter had
an ear infection! The local doctors' surgery was brilliant -
they saw us really quickly and the pharmacy was contained in the
surgery.
We had a great day out at Padstow - purchased
crab lines and caught a few in the harbour which the boys loved.
Went to a beautiful rugged beach - Hartland Quay - really stunning
coastline and the boys loved it as there was sand, rocks and big
waves, what more could boys want! OK for 3-wheeled pushchair too.
Thank you Katherine for all your efficient help beforehand and the
cottage was well stocked with everything you need for a family.

We have had a great week here, and have been out and about
everyday.
We have 15 year old girl/boy twins and each of them
brought along a friend, so entertaining four 15 year olds had seemed
a bit daunting! However they loved being here.
They had surf lessons
with 'The Big Blue' and did tons of body boarding - even catching
sight of Gwyneth Paltrow on more than one occasion!
We found the
cottage to be so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Thank you so
much for everything.

We enjoyed the holiday very much and the weather was excellent.
It has renewed our faith in self catering after some bad experiences.
Our daughter, grandson and son-in-law also enjoyed it very much and I
am sure that some time in the future we or they shall use Bramblewood
again.

I am sure we will make the return trip to Trevalgas at some point as
it is a lovely place and the children loved the pool, especially my
disabled son as it was very therapeutic for him.
Each time we went ,
we were the only ones there, so we had lots of space, and the water
was so lovely and warm.
S Henley April 06 (rebooked for '07)

As usual we had a great time.
Loads of places to visit,
including Tintagel, Crackington Haven, Clovelly, and St Michael's
Mount. Mevagissey and Polperro are worth visiting and Padstow is
great. Try the speedboat, but take some waterproofs!
We had a great
two weeks and are going home at least 1/2 stone heavier!

Enjoyed
our stay - especially the use of the dishwasher!
Crooklets beach was great for the children - sandy
beach, rock pools, good facilities (cafe clean
& good variety, toilets clean).
We recommend Tamar

We found the

kept with plenty of books, games, videos etc to keep the children
occupied.

We
all had a great time. Very comfortable in the cottage and have enjoyed
the pool.
We used the BBQ twice, and were able to sit in the
garden until 9.30pm.
The boys have had a great time at the Big Blue Surf
School, and we have worn ourselves out walking the various
sections of the coast path between Bude and Crackington Haven

Bramblewood
a very homely cottage equipped with all we needed. Everything thought
of- even a blank video tape.
Lovely garden and we enjoyed the swimming
pool.
Did lots of walking.... enjoyed Morwenstow, Duck Pool and

We
had high expectations of the cottage and we were not disappointed, as it

We've had a lovely week at Bramblewood, and
would like to say thank you for providing such comfortable and well
equipped accommodation. By far the best we have used.
The site is wonderful and
very thoughtfully planned - the garden delightful. The canal walk
in Bude peaceful and relaxing. Will be back, and will recommend Bramblewood to
friends and family.

The
cottage is of a very high standard, which is the reason why we returned,
after first visiting 3 years ago.
The fencing segregating each cottage
makes it 100% better - with the fabulous weather we have had a really
enjoyable holiday.
